What is Reiki?
Reiki (ray-key) is a Japanese energy healing art that promotes balancing & harmonizing of the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual aspects of the soul.
The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words, Rei which means Higher Power and Ki which means life force energy. Reiki is spiritually guided life force energy.
Life force energy flows in the body through energy centers and pathways. It also flows around the body. This energy responds to everything we think, feel, say and experience. It may become blocked or unbalanced as we travel our journey, leading to dis-harmony and dis-ease.
Reiki is energy vibrating at high levels that breaks through these blockages. Reiki cleanses and balances to allow energy to flow smoothly and optimally.
Reiki is non-religious and does not require a particular belief system. Reiki is a natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that everyone at every age may benefit from.
Reiki may relieve side effects and promote recovery and relaxation in addition to traditional medical care. Reiki does not replace standardized medical care and it does not diagnose.
Reiki is rapidly gaining mainstream awareness and acceptance as individuals seek peace within and holistic options for wellness.
Reiki with Krista
At Red Sands Reiki, I hold & share the space to nurture your journey. From our first contact, we begin to create your personal experience together. When you begin to consider Reiki, the energy begins its magical and powerful work. You may observe subtle changes, bursts of awareness, and synchronicity in your life from the moment you book your session.
Your Reiki Experience will last approximately 75 minutes. You will remain fully clothed while you relax and recline comfortably on a Reiki table. Reiki may also be provided while sitting if needed.
Working intuitively, I will place hands directly on you in various positions for varying lengths of time. You may feel, warmth, tingling, or coolness. Emotions may surface. Energetic blockages may release. Many people experience a deep sense of relaxation, as a treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you.
You will be nurtured and supported throughout your Reiki Experience. Time is allotted following Reiki to ensure you are grounded and ready to return to the ordinary world.
Additional healing modalities may be incorporated into your Reiki Experience including; tuning forks, crystals, and empowering hypnotic suggestion.
Reiki as an energetic art, is not limited to time and place. Reiki may be provided distantly in addition to in-person experiences. Enjoy the benefits of Reiki from the comfort of your home. Speak with Krista about distant Reiki if this resonates with you.

Reiki Certification
Reiki isn’t just an experience, it is a lifestyle. Do you feel drawn to deepening your connection to Reiki? Do you want to learn to work with this beautiful and healing energy? Welcome to Reiki Certification.
Red Sands Reiki offers First Degree Reiki Certification throughout the year. Every course is a unique experience guided by Reiki and the energy of the group participants. Over three days in a small group setting, I will lead you through the theory, history, and principles of Reiki. You will learn hands-on how to work with Reiki energy for yourself and others.
I offer First Degree Certification over 3 days because I want you to feel confident in your ability to integrate and work with Reiki energy. All 3 days must be attended for certification.
Participants will receive initiation and certification as a First Degree Reiki Practitioner upon completion. As groups are limited in size, a deposit is required to hold your space. Certification Courses run Friday 6pm-9pm and Saturday and Sunday from 10am-4pm.
At Red Sands Reiki, I honor the lineage and practice of Usui Shiki Ryoho, the Usui System of Natural Healing.
This isn’t just a one weekend event. Reiki is about connection. An energetic bond is created between student & teacher and Red Sands Reiki nurtures that bond. I offer ongoing support and connection as you move forward on your Reiki journey. All course graduates are invited to join Reiki Reunion gatherings every 8-12 weeks and the private Facebook group RSR Graduates.
